I just spent twenty minutes searching for a video that I watched two years ago; all I had to go on was that it wasn't on YouTube, it was posted by a site that I normally read, and involved Chloë Sevigny returning to her hometown, or so I thought I remembered. Gradually, I recalled that Lesley Arfin (Vice's Dear Diary author) was involved, even though I've never read any of her stuff. I searched Vimeo, Pedestrian.tv, the Streetboners search archive, and somehow realized that I forgot about Vice's pretentious VBS.tv video site. I felt like I was hunting the fucking Hipster Grifter.

Why can't there be a single pretty YouTube alternative? I'm really jonesing for a duopoly right about now. And in my frustration, I am posting the video here so I never lose it again. I don't even know if I'll want to see it again--I just want to know that I can.
